Press the green flag to start, and press the keys s, t, or m to see the animals in the zones. Please read the description down there to see an important message about global warming by me, @LMS4B-16. Let's learn about the animals! Twilight Zone Animals: Helmet Jellyfish (all the way to the left): -Have very large stinging cells that are very toxic to kill and attack predators lurking by. Have another adaptations called bioluminescence which makes them produce light so they can see in the dark. Viper Fish (middle): -They are predators, with very sharp teeth on the bottom of their jaws. They can live usually for about 30-40 years in the wild, but because of global warming, many sea creatures' life spans have dropped. Gonostomatidae (all the way to the right): -Its nickname is also the Bristlemouth fish. There aren't many other types of species of bristlemouth, but it makes up for the lack of diversity by having the almost trillions, or even quadrillions of fish living in the oceans. Midnight Zone Animals: Deep Sea Anglerfish (all the way to the left): -The anglerfish like many other fish have adaptations to survive the environment around them. They have extremely sharp teeth and huge stomachs, to catch any prey lurking around them. They have a flap of muscle that they move back and forth to attract prey nearby. They are said to be very rare, and global warming threatens this species of fish to extinction. Blob Fish (right side): Pronunciation: (sycrolotes mercidis) -Also known as the blob fish, this fish is said to be the ugliest creature on Earth. It's face droops down at the sides, two beady eyes, and a big nose that flops down.(in my opinion, they're actually kind of cute) It's droopy features are caused by the water pressure, which makes its environment very dense and heavy.
By: @LMS4B-16 Thx to my teacher science teacher Ms. Begly who is leaving my school next year. Thank you for making science class an adventure every time <3 Important note about the oceans: Yea, yea, yea, we know, the dolphins and turtles need help, oh, they're SOOOOO cute! Now, I'm not saying we should stop helping them. But..... some people tend to only want to help the so-called- "cute" animals in the oceans, that are endangered from pollution and global warming. And, that's great. But, not just the cute animals need our help. Deep, deep, deep, down in the Twilight and Midnight Zones of the Oceans, there are other maybe not as cute animals, struggling to survive because WE AREN'T HELPING THEM! Please help me spread this message: Even the ugliest animals, are still animals, and they need our help, and FAST. Carbon dioxide is being released into the air by us, creating global warming. Each day, global warming increases by quite the margin, which could target the Twilight zone the most, cause most of the carbon dioxide goes there. Pls help the oceans! <3 - Link for info about Twilight Zone: https://www.wnyc.org/story/the-ocean-twilight-zone/ Ways to save the animals: a) YOU CAN HELP THE ANIMALS IN THE OCEAN BY STOP POLLUTING IT'S NASTY, EVEN THOUGH OTHER PEOPLE MIGHT STILL POLUTE YOU CAN HELP MAKE A CHANGE IN THE WORLD b) Spread the message to stop polluting c) You can donate to charities to help stop global warming, or you can start your own charities! Thank you for reading all the way to the end. I know that I had I had a HUGE rant, but this message is important. Thx <3 -
