So- uh here’s me ranting. Shipping. What is it? (No, I am not talking about free shipping from another country.) “support or have a particular interest in a romantic pairing between two characters in a fictional series, often when this relationship is one portrayed by fans rather than depicted in the series itself.” So, when I see something along the lines of a Bruno x Shmuel fanfic, Dang, I get mad. I’m hoping that it’s none of you who wrote that. Shipping is fine but going onto sensitive territory is not. You need to be careful if you ship two characters. Take, for example, Third Union. The countryhumans fandom had a lot of backlash from that. Both ships have the element of ww2 in it. And ww2 is a sensitive thing. If a Jew, German or Russian that had been part of the war came back to life and knew about this, then how would they feel? Even Stalin x Hitler. Why does this exist? Don’t know. But if you guys ship these, please, please, please be careful. Or don’t ship it at a l l. The Countryhumans fandom, because of this, has its fair share of backlash and criticism. I’m hearing reports of young creators on websites that draw Countryhumans is getting banned, because it’s an ‘issue’. That goes for shipping other things, humans, places,*anything* too.
