When he was maybe around 4 or 5, a demon started murdering various members of the village. Of course this was upsetting, he knew most everyone, and he was really close with them all- One day a demon slayer came to his village and slayed the demon, and Takata was inspired by him and swore to grow up and be a demon slayer too. His parents were against letting him be a demon slayer- they didn’t want him to die of course, but he wouldn’t give up- he started off training on his own, and eventually found a mentor that let Takata train under him. His parents were enraged, but by the time they found out he was training, he was already ready. Final selection, so on and so on- eventually his parents came to accept it, and they currently have a very good relationship!
