But for the people who do, enjoy them :)) ~Air pollution~ The burning of fossil fuels, in both energy plants and vehicles, releases massive amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, causing climate change. Industrial processes also emit particulate matter, such as sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide and other noxious gases. The effects of air pollution also wreck havoc on human health. Basically, it means that both humans and the earth are affected by air pollution. >:( ~Rising sea levels~ Sea level continues to rise at a rate of about one-eighth of an inch per year. ... The two major causes of global sea level rise are thermal expansion caused by warming of the ocean (since water expands as it warms) and increased melting of land-based ice, such as glaciers and ice sheets. ~Deforestation~ Deforestation is the permanent removal of trees to make room for something besides forest. This can include clearing the land for agriculture or grazing, or using the timber for fuel, construction or manufacturing. Forests cover more than 30% of the Earth's land surface, according to the World Wildlife Fund. ---------------------------------------------------------- UNDERSTAND If you don't understand the air pollution, it basically means the person breathed in the toxic gases and got really sick and had to be sent to the hospital.
