Name: Thor Frodinson ((Asgardians were hip, and in w/t the ship names...:D )) in the IRO, what we call "Ship names" were actually an important part of IRO Asgardian culture. It represented unity, and became the surname of a married couple who vowed to share responsibility in the family and in life equally, and to always love and respect each other and work as a team. There he lived with his brother Loki. As long as anyone could remember, everyone knew and accepted that as the eldest, Thor would inherit the throne and Loki would have other roles, mainly helping his brother, being a hero and helping wherever needed. Loki was well-liked throughout the planet, he kept everyone entertained by making life a lot more interesting, fun, and... less safe. Loki was a one-man Weasely-twins duo, and greatly enjoyed entertaining the public. Thor studied hard to prepare for inheriting the throne; developing people and speaking skills, studying politics, math science etc. Loki had it easy for the time being, in his opinion, but it would all be worth it when hey were older. Thor believed that they'd always be friends. However, at exactly the wrong moment, everything changed. Odin had been thinking, thinking a lot. He thought about Athens on Earth, and about the imperfect democracy there. He saw the Kallixian empire turn evil and begin eating up the galaxy, and all the petty/stupid things Zeus had done to both Olympians and mortals during his time in power before he was killed. To ensure that the rights of his people would forever be preserved, Odin decided to change the form of government to a republic. He sat his family down for a council to introduce them to the idea. Part of Loki didn't want a change, but another part was curious about what would happen- but he was angry still, that their father would throw such a big change at them. Thor did /not/ want to throw his life's work out the window. Loki & Thor argued loudly w/t their father, and Loki was the first to take Odin's side- it wasn't like he had anything to lose. Thor stormed away enraged, yelling that he'd get even, leaving everyone stunned. The next day compromising information was sent to the Kallixian military, who began an invasion. The intelligence was traced back to Thor's communication devices. Ragnarok came early that day, and all of Asgard was destroyed in the battle, Loki among some of the only survivors. Thor was pronounced dead, and a traitor. Loki fled, terrified using a special compass to find the haven of Olympus. He spent the next 1500 years crushed- training, mourning and applying to be part of Poseidon's recon team. he came to dislike and mistrust people, hated being the center of attention and- was just broken. 15 centuries passed- and little did anyone know that Thor was still alive. And had never betrayed his people. ------------ I low-key can't do hands
