This puzzle is part of the problem solving program that I teach to middle and high school kids. The task is pretty simple: you are given 4 cups that are turned up and 1 cup that is turned upside down. By flipping 2 cups at a time, try to turn all the cups up, and see how many moves does it take to do so. If you get stuck, try harder and think again! To choose the cups click on the cups, which will then show the cups lifted up, and then click 'Flip' to flip the cups - the ones which were turned up, will turn upside down, and vice-versa. Then try changing the following: a) change the number of cups that are turned Up (max: 12) b) change the number of cups that are turned upside down (max: 4) c) Flip different number of cups each time: 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 And record your observations, to see which problems you are able to solve and for which you get stuck! Leave your comments in the comments section below, if you need any pointers/have feedback or any other observations. Good luck! #Puzzles #LogicalThinking #Mathematics #AlgorithmicThinking #Algorithms #ProblemSolving #MathsAndFun #MathsAndScratch
