Hi! (Welcome, I guess, to this MAP!) With the whole world fighting for equality, I wanted to do my part in and recognize it... hence this MAP. I really would love for this MAP to be finished, so I'll cut to the chase and share the rules. *** WARNING: I might not respond super quickly if you comment. **** Rules: • The theme is equality, so include it in your part :) • Both AMV and PMV are allowed • I'm mostly looking for semi-experienced animators who can get the "equality" point across. ⠀⠀↪ If you don't get in, this DOESN'T mean that I think ⠀⠀⠀⠀you aren't skilled. Your style may just not be quite ⠀⠀⠀⠀the style I'm looking for. (I'm sorry in advance?) • If you get a part, follow the instructions commented inside the project please :) It makes my life easier... • 1 sprite, & 1-2 parts, per person • ͏C o͏d͏eword is any word that starts in q, z, or, j • No clones. • No effect blocks please. If you do, it's fine, but try not to. :) It makes the finished product less laggy. • DO NOT start before I give you the part. :) • Try to finish within a month, if you need an extension, just ask, I'll probably give it to you. And that's a wrap. Sorry about all of the rules, but I want to get all my points across before it's too late. If you plan to ask for a part, please make sure you will follow through, then reread the rules, and make sure the part you want isn't already taken. If you did all this, CONGRATS! You may now have a part, hopefully! :) **Disclaimer: I am aware that this is a relatively religious song, but religion varies a lot on this website, so please focus more on equality than religion. Yes, directly religious lyrics may be animated/drawn religiously, but I would appreciate having the focus on helping achieve equality for all races. :)
Unless you were invited (in which you can just ask for a part) please fill out the following form to get a part: ⠀⠀| Part(s) you want | When you will try to finish by | Best ⠀⠀animation/PMV you've made | Codeword | a brief plan ⠀⠀for the part you want because I'm curious :P | There is a "lyric dictionary" at the bottom of the notes & credits for historical references in the songs, if you want to read it. If you still don't understand your lyrics, please look it up. :) https://genius.com/Common-glory-lyrics is a great site if you want to delve into the meaning of the lyrics. Here are each of the parts and their lyrics: 1: (please include song name, say that it's a completed MAP... and if you want you can say that I'm the MAP host.) Dictionary: King - This is talking about Dr. MLK Jr... Ever heard of "I ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀have a dream...?" If you don't know him, you ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀should do some research! He was a great ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀person. Selma – People had ways to stop black men and ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀women from voting, so the three marches from ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Selma to Montgomery were creating voting ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀equality. While the first two marches were not ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀entirely successful and many people were hurt, ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀the third march brought the ability for black ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Americans to vote unencumbered. (watch the ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀movie Selma if you want [with parent ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀permission of course--it's kind of dark at times]) league of justice – "probably refers to standing up against those who were supposed to keep justice, but couldn't see past their noses (metaphorically)" - (Thanks for the help, I was really stuck here) a king – See "King" at the first dictionary entry Jim Crow – The Jim Crow laws were anti-black laws that ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀allowed racial segregation in schools, ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀restaurants, restrooms, you name it... it was a ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀terrible set of laws. If you want me to define something that isn't already here, just ask! I'm happy to help! :) Have fun, everyone!
