Deity ver. ref Name: Daiki Gender: Male(former) Non-binary(current) Age: ??? Species: Feline(former) ???(Current) Status: Deceased For most of his life Daiki was raised on a temple's grounds and cared for by the visitors and monks, just like all the other cats. All he really remembers is that one day, he walked onto the grounds, curious of its inhabitants. Next thing he knew, he was spending his days napping on cushions or on statues. What was strange tho, was that the monks cared for him not like a regular animal but rather, something more. Whatever that was, Daiki wouldn't be able to understand yet. Years went by, and Daiki had become more carefree than ever with the only thing catching his curiosity were the strange actions by the monks. They would go about praying and reciting rituals often times bringing Daiki along with them. They would create murals depicting different gods and something similar looking to Daiki would always be in them. But, what Daiki found the most interesting was that they were creating these ornate looking sticks and would spend large amounts of time polishing the ends of them. Whatever could they be doing? Soon tho, Daiki will piece together all of these peculiar findings for on the December Solstice he was taken to the gate that is said that if you walk through it, you will find yourself in the spirit realm. He stepped gingerly through the gate unknown about what was about to befall him. He didn't even have a moment to scream before the ceremonial spears cut him in half The reason the monks treated him so differently was because he was part of a prophecy, a prophecy that foretold the making of a new deity. Every action they took was all in order to make sure that the prophecy would come true. Really, in a way, they succeeded but at their own cost. At that moment Daiki felt immense pain before completely blacking out. The only thing he could feel were emotions but those hurt just a much as the actual wounds. Coming to terms about what just occurred, he felt betrayed. Betrayed by his only family. Anger came rushing in and swooped Daiki like an enormous tidal wave. The procephy was correct and Daiki did become a deity at that moment but not one that would aide humanity in their endeavours. He become an anger fueled monster out for blood, and there was nothing to stop it. In only a few minutes Daiki consumed the temple grounds with its wrath and murdered all of its inhabitant. In an abnormal time period, the temple fell to disarray and everything that was once pristine became a relic of the past. Daiki surrounded the grounds and hid it away from passersbys and over time, the place was forgotten by the public. Legends formed around the murders and disappearances but the officials brushed it off as hoaxes or pranks because ghosts aren't real Right? Long story short, Daiki became a wrathful deity of betrayal and despair.
