so space, click or arrows c: hello! :D I finally made a project (that no one asked for lol) please no stealing c: [this is an artfight attack by the way on @silverfootwolf! (or @That_Silverfootwolf on scratch) I have drawn their adorable character January c:] this is it is on artfight! (it’s much better quality too) https://artfight.net/attack/1635139.ultimately 1: I decided what colour I wanted the background to be and I came up with this cool dark red! 2: uh so basically this is the anatomy of my style lol x'D (in a nutshell) if that makes any sense! I usually draw characters super skinny and long noodle legs lol 3: uh so here's the sketch! I know this looks absolutely terrible but to be honest this is one of my good ones x''D very long necc 4: I added a layer over that sketch and made a slightly neater one! this isn't the final lineart though, and I added another layer just drawing the hair as you can see oof 5: now I just made the opacity of the 'body' sketch the same as the hair , and I also merged the two layers together 6: now I added yet another layer and used a thin black pen to draw the proper lineart, it doesn't look too great at the moment lol 7: added some dots because why n o t 8: colouring! I just used the lightest colour of the character and used it to fill the whole of the drawing 9: I forgot the cute little laurel thingies so I just added them ^^ and I've finished colouring! 10: (my favourite bit!) now I have coloured the lineart so it isn't just black all over. the only black bits are the 'outline' of the character if that makes sense, I used a cool red (to match the background) for the 'inside' I also changed the colour of the background because in my opinion it was too dark c: 11: ok ay this looks super strange but I added another layer and lazily 'highlighted' the bits I wanted to shade (it might make more sense in the next slides lol) 12: now I just blurred the bits 13: I lowered the opacity and erased the sharp edges of the previous slide 14: it's barely noticeable but I added some more shading 15: on that shading layer I just erased some bits to add fur! and some hair 16: added some hair shading and fur everywhere else c: 17: (my other favourite bit) I'm just picking cool vibrant colours to add onto the lineart , I don't know why I do this but I think it just looks really cool :v and I added some highlights on the eye(s) 18: (my other other favourite bit) I added some texture! I do this to all my drawings to make it look cool! x'D I also added my username on the tail (it's backwards because I have my canvas flipped right now) 19: added some smol plants because it kinda matched the laurels c: and I've finished! okie dokie I'm not going to lie but I was a bit anxious to post this because of all the theft going on on scratch ;( but I hope this is okay! sorry about lazy coding lol I'll change it soon and thank you so much for 300+! * well almost 400 now lol wow thank you so much * oc: January () music: cliché + ultimately + from here + kids again art: meeeee <3
