For the full instructions, click the "Go to Guide" button on the title screen. Polystar Dodger is a game where you play as a blue square, and your goal is to dodge stars of various different point amounts for as long as you can. There are twenty different levels to play, as well as a Custom Game with tons of properties and modifiers to alter.
I do not own any of the music used in this game. The music tracks used are "Cyborg Ninja", "Rhinoceros", and "In A Heartbeat", all of which are by Kevin MacLeod. Is your device unable to run this game? Well, the music files are probably at fault for that, so a version of the game without music can be found at https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/428213787/. This version can run on lower-end devices... but, y'know, it doesn't have music. This game as a whole was inspired by a particular level in Laser Shapes Attack!, another game of mine which can be found at https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/365983122/. Changelog: 1.5.2 (Mar. 8, 2022): Made the code way more efficient (around 7,000 blocks were shaved off with (theoretically) no loss in features or functionality), made the shape you play as smaller to make the game more fair at scores in the 8,000s and upwards, and fixed some bugs and changed some messages in Custom Game. This update probably introduced several bugs of its own, so if you find any bugs then please comment about them so I can learn about them and fix them. 1.5.1 (Nov. 19, 2020): Added three new Custom Game modifiers (Shape Starting Horizontal Position and Shape Starting Vertical Position on Page 1, and a second advanced shape property for every shape except Triangle and Circle on Page 7), changed Circle's second shape property and advanced shape property, replaced the Polygram Medals with cooler-looking versions (although you can still switch to the old ones if you want), and Custom Game modifiers that don't require whole numbers no longer round to the nearest hundredth. 1.5 (Sep. 19, 2020): Added two new constellations (Plasma Cloud Constellation and Spycosagram-Controlled System, both in the Obstacle Galaxy), and added two whole new pages to Custom Game! Page 8, Plasma Cloud Modifiers, has up to nine modifiers, while Page 9, Spycosagram Modifiers, has up to eleven modifiers, so this update adds twenty new Custom Game modifiers, bringing the total amount of modifiers to 90. 1.4 (Sep, 13, 2020): Added two new constellations (Scopeshot Constellation in the Movement Galaxy, and Parallel Constellation in the Shape Galaxy), added a new setting to Star Movement on Custom Game Page 4 (Scopeshot movement), added two shape properties to Square, which previously had none (Square Amount and Square Clone Touch Reaction), added three more Custom Game properties (First Star Spawn on Page 3, Potential Bounce Directional Offset on Page 5, and a third Star Movement property, but on Page 7 instead of Page 4), changed some maximums and minimums for certain level properties and Custom Game modifiers, and fixed several bugs. 1.3 (Sep. 9, 2020): Added two new constellations (Convergence Constellation and Squiggly Constellation, both in the Movement Galaxy), added a third level property to all constellations that didn't have one (Foggy, Central, Clustering, Rainbow, Triangular, and Thunderbolt), added Spawn Tier Speed Increase to Page 2 of Custom Game, and added Page 7, Supplementary Modifiers, to Custom Game. Page 7 adds up to ten modifiers (depending on the settings of other modifiers), so the new total for Custom Game Modifiers is 67. 1.2 (Aug. 31, 2020): Added two new constellations (Octagonal Constellation and Oval's Eye Constellation, both of which are in the Shape Galaxy), moved the Enlargement Constellation to the Difficulty Galaxy, and added two new shapes to play as Custom Game (Octagon and Oval). Also fixed some bugs relating to display, negative acceleration, and slightly off-timing score intervals. 1.1 (Aug. 28, 2020): Added two new constellations (Rotation Reversal Constellation and Arrow Constellation, both of which are in the Shape Galaxy), two new Custom Game Modifiers (Pull Angle Change Amount and Pull Angle Change Interval, both on Page 5), and a new shape to play as in Custom Game (Arrow). 1.0 (Aug. 23, 2020): Game released. Contains twenty constellations and up to fifty-four Custom Game modifiers (not counting the background and music).
