!!contains spoilers for the legend of korra!! might unshare this later idk ok so some time ago (not too long ago) me and my friend were watching legend of korra. she had never watched it before bUT we were watching the last episode so she basically had no idea what was going on. i had watched korra aNd avatar the last Airbender three years earlier so i knew exactly what was going to happen (r/weirdflexbutok), and i wasnt paying much attention to the tv. at the very last part of the Episode (when Korra and Asami were all lovey dovey and staring into each others’ eyes and being very gay) my friend suddenly said, “tf is this?? are they gay or something???” and i said “yes.” and thEN they said something along the lines of “WHAT THE HELL,IS THIS SHOW TRYING TO MAKE ME GAY????” now, being a devoted Christian AND gay (i havent come out yet hH) i decided to say something because she was rly triggering me. i said, “wait, are you saying that being gay is wrong?” And ofc they said yes. i wasnt v surprised that they were homophobic bcuz literally everyone i know (Except my family) is a homophobe. and then they started spouting reasons why being gay was “a sin” and whoever’s gay is “going to hell”. well ig i’m going to hell then lmao uhh yea the end
