I HAVE DECIDED TO STAY!!!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------- So you might have heard that I am leaving Scratch very soon. Please note that no individual or person is responsible for this. The Scratch Community is so kind and I will miss all of you. I am going to tell you why I have decided to leave Scratch. I first started Scratch 4 years ago on the 2.0 offline editor. I was interested in coding and began to follow tutorials. A year later, I found the Scratch Website and decided to join it. Back then, I had a different account. 6 days after, I stopped using it and left for a year. When I came back, I made this account and I began a new journey on Scratch. I made three projects, in which all the coding was by me. I started talking to other Scratchers and used it more as a social media platform. Not long later, I started to work on my biggest yet most frustrating game: The Element Ninja. I had always liked @Will_Wam's projects since my discovery of Scratch and was inspired to make a game similar to it. Unfortunately, my luck didn't laugh. I was really bad at the Scratch editor back then, so the graphics were terrible. The coding was a challenge for me, especially because 3.0 ruined the whole project. After the period of a year, I decided to share it unfinished because there were too many errors and I was 1/4 of the way there. This may have been because of how busy I was. Once it was shared, I started to not create much projects. I lost my motivation to code as the game didn't get the attention I wanted, and although Scratch isn't about fame, I still wanted it to be enjoyed. This resulted in my inactivity. Once I was back, I created another project, Hyper-volt Dash, a project I worked really hard on. Sadly, it only got viewed by my real life friends, who had already played it. After finding out about generic platformers, I started to support STGP. I believed that because of them, they were stopping me from getting others to enjoy my games. But I was wrong. STGP became spam and hate and soon, I was against it. Now, I have been using Scratch more as an online chatting platform then a coding tool. 2020 has also roughed my life lately and is putting me through a traumatic experience. I will post one final game before I leave for possibly 3 or 2 years so I can get back into coding and learn more advanced computer languages. I still want to pursue my dreams of becoming a game developer so I think it is time that I move on and improve. Thank you for taking your time to read this.
