──·.✧.･*•.♡.•*･.✧.·── ✂------- { i n t r o } ○ hey gang! its coco here. i pretty much explained what im doing here in the project (space/tap to advance through the slide), and i shall be doing it in the instructions. ○ if you dont agree with what i say here, then that's ok, but please do not bully the LGBTQ+ community. ✂------- { w h a t i s h o m o p h o b i a ? } ➳ by definition of merriam-webster's dictionary, homophobia is the "irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals" ↳ personally, i do not believe that it is the fear of homosexuals, but i suppose some people are afraid of them (however i have never met someone who is). in my mind, homophobia is the intense hatred/dislike towards homosexuality. not the fear part. but that is just my opinion, and it is probably wrong. ✂------- { m y t h # 1 } » "if gay marriage becomes legal, straight marriage straight marriage will become illegal." ○ that's not true. if gay marriage becomes legal everywhere, it will not make straight marriage illegal. they both will be legal. it's simple. ✂------- { m y t h # 2 } » "if gay marriage becomes legal, you're inflicting you're inflicting your beliefs upon those who do not support LGBTQ+." ○ again, that is not true. in fact, if you might gay marriage illegal, you're inflicting your beliefs upon those who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. like I said, if gay marriage becomes legal, straight marriage will still be legal, there for, our beliefs will not be inflicted upon you. ✂------- { m y t h # 3 } » "a child needs a loving mother and a father." ○ what a child needs is loving parent(s). if you really believe that, go attack single parents and parent's who's spouses have passed. a child needs someone to love and support them, and it doesn't matter whether it's coming from a mom and a mom, dad and a dad, mom and a dad, just a dad or just a mom. ✂------- { m y t h # 4 } » "the Bible is against homosexuality." ○ honestly, im not Christian, so i wouldn't know. however, i have plenty of Christian friends who believe that the Bible doesn't say anything against homosexuality. it's a matter of opinion, and the Bible can be interpreted in different ways (from what i've heard). anyways, even if it does say something against it, the Bible was written centuries ago. things change. ✂------- { m y t h # 5 } » "the point of marriage is to have children" ○ actually, the point of marriage is to marry someone you love, and you want to spend your life with them. and if you're so keen on the "must have children part", what about the millions of orphans around the world? a gay couple can adopt. and still there are many other ways for them to have children. ✂------- { c o n c l u s i o n } ➳ that was the most frequent "homophobic myths" that i am told. i hope i was clear and you understood what i said, and that i maybe changed a few minds! ↳ that is all for today! i hope you have a good day! ✂------- { c r e d i t s } ➳ lovely song in the project is: Everyone Is Gay - A Great Big World ➳ background from google ──·.✧.･*•.♡.•*･.✧.·──
