Heeeah... I finished my first Meg run... which is the 22nd and took three hours to draw. I really like how the drawing came out, especially the detail on the lanterns. I think I know what you're thinking.. "Does Shu ship Silver and Meg!?" *cough* Well, let me answer that, although my answer may not be the most satisfactory reply. So some Scratchers ship Silver x Meg, Silver x Lightning, annnnd... Blaze x Silver. So far I haven't met a Silver x Rouge shipper (which is actually a thing.) This is where my answer doesn't answer your question, *cough* I don't think I should say who I ship with Silver, or if I ship him with anyone at all... *cough* Wouldn't want to start a shipping war, now would we? Besides, I'd rather let Silver choose whoever he wants Anyway, Silver and Meg are lighting lanterns for 灯籠流し, (Kanji version: Toro Nagashi.) Which is the Japanese festival of lights. Toro Nagashi translated to English means: Lantern. Or: Float. The Japanese believe that everyone comes from water (which I do not XD). The festival of lights, is a three day festival including ancient Japanese dances, Kimonos, traditional music, and lighting lanterns. They light lanterns to remember ancestors, or deceased loved ones. The lanterns are made of paper, and candle's are set in the middle. They light they lanterns and either send them out into the sky, or float them down a river. Though I've never seen this up close, I would love to. For when I'm looking at pictures I find the festival very beautiful. One day, I want to make some lanterns to float, not for the same reasons as the Japanese, just for fun. X3 And that closes my long lecture about the festival of lights.
Me for the drawing. @CodingQueen4964 for her OC Meg, and the Meg run idea. The very interesting Japanese culture.
