Oh my gosh, I have been so unmotivated to do digital art for like months, and this just motivated me so much, thank you! Aah, Tide is so so cute! I just couldn't resist, and now I am so glad I did this! I just love the drawing, and it was an amazing help for drawing expressions, eyes, and poses! Thank you again, your design are so wonderful! Tide Male Cute, lovable boy loves cuddles water spirit trapped, ig? but like, not in a bad way? in a glass bottle The water spirits live in ships and ports, and if you trap one in a glass bottle, they become somewhat under your control, taking the shape of a domestic animal with a broken glass front half. They become that person's spirit animal of sorts, traveling with them everywhere and becoming their constant companion. Water spirits die with their masters, and are immortal until then. They cannot be harmed by any means unless they do not have a master, so their master becomes their protector as well. Water spirits are born with a deep natural instinct that leads them to their destined master the moment they are old enough to go looking for them on their own. This normally happens around age two. They then go searching around the globe, if need be, for their rightful master. If a water spirit is trapped by the wrong person, they become fallen spirits, and are suspended, trapped in the bottle, until the bottle is smashed and they are let out. Tide left at age three, later than normal, later than his siblings. He still wasn't sure where to go or what to to do, exactly, but he could feel a calling in his heart, so he followed it. He swam to a small island, a small village, a small house. He knew this was the place. He couldn't explain how, but he knew. He watched the house for a while, as people, a family, came in and out, playing, working, enjoying the day. Finally, at sunset, he walked up to the house and sat on the doorstep, watching as a little girl and her father bounced towards him, the girl on her father's back. "Daddy!" she cried. "Look!" They came to a stop in front of Tide. "Oh! Your water spirit!" Her father rushed inside, and came back out with a glass bottle. The girl took it from him, and gently lowered it towards Tide. "Welcome to your new home," she whispered as he walked lightly into the bottle. She pushed the cork into the top, and set the bottle softly on the grass in front of her. It suddenly started glowing and rose a couple inches off the ground. Tide felt the bottle press against him, become part of him, as he grew into his true shape, a cat. He purred, and bounded joyfully to his new master. "I love you." The little girl whispered. "I love you, Tide."
