POV: You are trying to save GemVille by elminating all the evil gems on the shown screen. So... the drum you see works for the evil gems and wont let you shoot on the middle ones. It doesnt hide the gems, because they are NSI... not shown invinsible! You know you're done when you think you have elmininated all 28. Its mental! So, when 27 all have been elminiated.. you get a prize! Yayyy :)
