KEEP BLOOPERS!! Side Characters: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/405624035/ Heeeeeeeeelllloooooooo people! So as some of you may or may not know (I keep saying that) I'm making Hawkwing's Journey into an episode series. If any of you remember I said the same about Shaded, this is different because it's an actual book already, which was the problem with Shaded (because it had no premade lines and stuff). SO! Right now, I'm working on the prologue which I have all the voices needed (because I just did them myself) and I am in the pre-drawing stages right now. On a different note, I need other voice actors! (I mean, I guess I could do all the voices myself, but it feels more professional if I didn't) Right now, I'd like to find people for main characters mostly, as in the title :3 (ALSO SPECIAL SIDE NOTE! If you'd like to try out for a character of the opposite gender, be my guest! If you can pull off the voice, I won't be mad. Just unless you have a really good voice for Hawkwing, I'd rather he had an actual male voice as he's the POV character and it would be more obvious than for other characters) Main Characters: Hawkwing (POV) Pebbleshine (first half of book) Leafstar Darktail Plumwillow (for the other half of the book) Try out lines: Hawkwing - Teen/older male voice (see that I said male VOICE, read above-note), headstrong and defiant (at beginning, mellows out and grows throughout the book) but he will always depend on his strength rather than smarts and embraces feeling important and going on missions "What's the point of prophecies if they can't prevent anything terrible?" (bitter, kind of grumpy sounding, a bit aggressive, he's being all sulky as he listens to a Clan discussion and can't help butting in) Pebbleshine - Teen female voice, strong and determined "You're a very young warrior, Hawkwing. If Leafstar and the senior warriors hadn't agreed, they would have never been allowed in the camp. /Every/ cat made the mistake of trusting them." (strong/defiant, trying to sound reassuring but it sounds like she's riling up a crowd rather) Leafstar - Older female voice, keeps most emotion from her voice except for anger (because she gets FURIOUS) "Don't dwell on it. Everyone knows why you didn't remember. Besides, Ebonyclaw (eh-bony) /did/ report it, and it didn't make any difference. There was no way we could've prevented this attack." (solemn, kind of weary, and hollow sounding) Darktail - Young adult/older teen male voice, -apart from the fact that he IS a villian and these are stereotypey- he sounds/acts really friendly and seems a bit clumsy, but has a mischievous side (even not as his villian-self) in his other form, he is cold and sly. He actually does relate to Hawkwing and likes him but he can't win him. "I'm sorry. I don't mean to be demanding. It's just, I can't bear to stay alone among the charred remains anymore. It's too terrible to be here with the smell and the memory- *believable choking sound* "-the memory of the horrible things that happened." (he's kind of going overboard with pleading and trying to look like an innocent victim, so he reels back and just sounds sad but still goes with making a choking sound) Plumwillow - Teen female voice (this is the most easy to be less wanting for a certain kind, as long as she doesn't sound like a tiny child then she's good) holds and bottles up her emotions, doesn't trust easily, family means everything to her) "Maybe... But do you know what I saw the other day? A Twoleg got in a water monster! It tore around the lake, churning up water- scaring the ducks! What next, that what I want to know." (uneasy sounding, worried for her children's safety and a bit exasperated on the person's behalf) Tips: - multiple takes - don't manipulate your voice too much - keep bloopers >:3 - do something extra (like just talking in the character's voice/yours to give your take on them an easier idea) - ACTUALLY BE EXPRESSIVE if your character is supposed to be sad and crying, don't sound monotone
haha I tried I don't think my voice actually fits Darktail that well, but I saw that no one else had tried for it, so I thought I'd give it a go
