Today we talked about CONDITIONALS! Sometimes we need a way to make decisions in our programs. CONDITIONALS allow us to do this. Boolean principals help choose what to do when a CONDITION is TRUE, or a condition is FALSE. SCRATCH uses IF/THEN statements for only one condition, and IF/THEN/ELSE for multiple conditions. IF/THEN statements can be NESTED within each other. We created a Scratch program using two different types of conditionals. You'll use conditionals a lot as you progress in Scratch, and in all other coding languages as well. They're really helpful for games including trivia, platformers, adventure, arcade, and just about anything else that's a little more advanced. Here are a few other conditional projects you can try or remix: Three scene conditional demonstration with nested conditionals: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/416047001/ The 12-hour clock project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/417097483/ A difficult trivia game with lists and variables too: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/297737205/ Thanks again, and definitely share your projects here in this classroom! I am happy to troubleshoot them. See you soon!
