Disclaimer no. 2: No offence is meant to violists ;) If you didn’t know what any of that violinist-specific language meant then here’s a quick glossary: Shift: when you move your hand higher up the neck/fingerboard than it usually would be to create higher notes. Double-stops/double-stopping: intentionally playing two strings at the same time to (usually) create a chord (yes we do chords too :P) or to make the piece sound better. Tuning/intonation: how correct the finger placement is (how correct (in tune) the notes are).
