Her father often was gone, having to work at the village. Her mother was handicapped and unable to walk without assistance, so Olive's father had to make the money and shop and everything a mother would do. Even though her mother is disabled, she insists on homeschooling Olive to the best of her ability. Olive is shy and sweet and overall very nervous. She often hides behind people's backs and stay bundled up in her coat. Due to living away from the village most her life, Olive doesn't communicate well and will drop off mid-sentence sometimes.
