It is caused when the Earth is in the middle of the moon and the sun, casting shadow onto the moon. 3-4. These are the seasons. On one side of the world, it will be winter because that side is away from the sun. On the other side of the world, it will be summer because that side is toward the sun. When the Earth orbits, these sides' seasons will change. 5. These are the moon phases: Third quarter, waning gibbous, full moon, waxing gibbous, first quarter, waxing crescent, new moon, and waning crescent. 6. This is why we have moon phases.
