I WOULD RECOMMEND READING BOTH OF THESE BEFORE USING, BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO. This is the fourth project on a whole line of new level crossings on the UDM rail network on Minecraft (NOT the Great Minecraft Railway, which is a whole other, smaller world). Just click the flag and wait for trains. There are about 55 trains per day at the moment, all of which are Class 170 diesel multiple units and HSTs (IC125s). There are also four freight services (Class 59s and box wagons). If you are wanting to see a train NOW, then use Testing Blocks as per usual. This is one of just two automatic half-barrier crossings on the South-Eastern Route between Holmesbridge and Slentham - and for good reason: the line speed is 100 miles per hour! The only trains to run at this speed are the HST (InterCity 125) sets which are the Fowlington Interchange to Wrenningston South and Sennemouth journeys (see Notes & Credits for the full timetable here). The other one is Birchead, which is a good 40 minutes or so in the left direction! Birchead, being part of the same route, also has those 100mph HSTs. There is a day-and-night cycle where it will mimic the sky's brightness in the day and night. Released on 19/09/20.
Do you recognise the penguin barriers? They are a whole new design, the project released on 14/09/20, just five days before this! Train Times List (Timetable): https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/498332122/ Project for a view inside the telephone cabinet: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/435114499/ Name: Smithon Type: AHBC-X Location: Smithon Lane, Smithon Perset, CMC District / SER1; 15km 53ck Risk Score (Jul 2021): E3 - The 'double alarms' came from Rushey Sidings AHB (which was slowed-down, but was returned to normal speed on 07/11/20) and an AHB project I found on Roblox. This alarm was used (but slightly changed) in the Ufton2005 project. - This level crossing is between Teal Park and Fridgham Stations on the Holmesbridge to Slentham line on the Minecraft Rail Network. This line is the second part of four sections of an inter-city HST route. - The crossing is AHB and is supervised by Holmesbridge Signalling Control Centre (HSCC). - This crossing is very closely linked to Ufton (before 2016) and shares many deliberate similarites, such as a 100mph line speed and similar equipment such as old halogen lights and penguin barriers. The road and local geography is very similar too as they both are the lesser-used of two lanes with the same purpose, positioned not far from a junction with a busy road (The R36 here; the A4 at Ufton) and a canal swing bridge on the other side. - Most services are operated with Class 170s (West and Central Connect). Inter-City 125s (HSTs) run from Fowlington Interchange to Wrenningston and Sennemouth. Freight trains currently run between Windestock Quarry (near Sennemouth) and Causton Yard, but there will be more in the future: Windestock has ports for sand and ore as well as aggregates! - There was a major crash here on 11th February 2022; a farmer's trailer became detached after a bump and came to rest on the crossing, and was hit by 1Y62, an HST set formed of 43712 and 43723. Owing to a partial derailment and a lineside stone wall just to the left, multiple vehicles derailed and three coaches overturned. 5 on the train and all 4 cattle in the trailer dead and 55 injured. Change Log: - 7th November 2020: Details to the signage: rusty rear sign and missing letters on front. Curving of signs also. Alarm changed slightly on Down (close) side. - 8th November 2020: Crossing isolated (trains can pass but the crossing won't activate) and temporary metal fences erected from 12pm until 2pm. This is because of electrical work near the brick hut on the far-left. Bogie replacement on the HST sets. - Throughout November and December: Adding of 100mph HSTs due to completion of the SER up to Wrenningston South. - 18th January 2021: Changes to barrier behaviour. - 25th January 2021: Added background noise from my old Ufton project as a trial phase. - 7th February 2021: New HST sounds (from Athelney). - 2nd March 2021: Added the HST "Blackberry" livery and the code to distinguish between the two. - 14th March 2021: The backdrop is changed to the one from the real Minecraft world. Road-lights changed. - 30th March 2021: Alarms swapped; the alarm that was on the downside and became on the upside was changed slightly. - 21st June 2021: Road marked. - 22nd July 2021: First freight services added and timetabled. - Throughout March 2022: Background changed. - June 29, 2024: New alarm, slight appearance changes (repainting faded/rusted parts). - January 13, 2026: Renewal from halogen to LED road lights
