Devious and quick as they come, Nikolai primarily works under his father during the day and when the older man heads out on longer expeditions, helping toss nets, bring them back in, heave heavy stuff around, deal with the most dangerous of netted creatures, and other tasks his father finds difficult in his growing age. Nikolai is known around his small, crime-riddled village as a polite, quiet young man, always able to stop and help if someone has need for a hand in assistance. His handsome, rugged features and cool mood catch him a good spot of attention at markets, bars, or the occasional party he bothers to visit, but no one has yet been seemingly able to impress him enough to win his heart. When the sun sets, however, Niko takes up another name; The Black Marlin. Moonlighting as a hitman after dark, the ruthless young man takes whatever jobs come his way from the town's dangerous, dirty underbelly, unable to satisfy his bloodlust with the drawling, meager events of his day job. His main weapon, and most prized posession, remains a near-silent, air-powered harpoon gun that primarily fires a ruthlessly ridged harpoon, which, combined with a scope, most often deals a messy killing blow in very near one shot. The Black Marlin rarely, if ever, bothers to clean up his messy hits, often leaving a trail of blood-spattered, dilapidated scenes of death in his wake. It's rather dangerous to get on the Marlin's bad side, for he does uphold a rather ruthless reputation despite his generally quiet nature.
