(please follow my main @ficketriff-) THIS PROJECT MAKES MY CHEST HURT- anyways, i tend to angst about this kinda stuff a lot, so i thought i'd explain it, and also show you the actual audio, as well as why i feel this way about these songs. however, in order to properly explain these, you need context, which means spoilers. Battle of Award 42 - A Hat in Time - Whenever a song goes and has it's own little melody, it just reminds me that there's still humanity in these characters. most of the time, their intentions aren't bad at all, or they just can't see that they're in the wrong. In this act, DJ Grooves or The Conductor would battle you over the ownership of a time piece. Their intentions are somewhat selfish, but they're still human- er, birds. They make mistakes, and in the end, this is their job and reputation they're fighting for! Grooves and The Conductor have been rivals for so long, and maybe Grooves might be sour over losing so many times to The Conductor, or maybe The Conductor lost his perfect streak of wins at some point? Regardless, they want their shiny trophy. They've been working towards this for their whole lives. Passport Guardian - Half Life VR, but the AI is Self Aware Though hlvrai is a YouTube series, this thing still has a final boss, since in the end, it's still Half Life. This time, it's different though. Our final boss is Benrey, an eldritch being disguised as a simple security guard. All he wants is to go back home to play Heavenly Sword with his friend Josh, but Gordon didn't bring his passport, and is also not wearing his HEV suit correctly. So now he has to follow him to make sure he doesn't mess anything up. Or at least, that's what he says. He confesses that his intention was never to hurt Gordon, but because Gordon didn't think he was a good person, he followed along. He repeatedly states that he doesn't think it's fair, and through the entire series, he constantly hints at being in love with Gordon, even asking for a kiss in the end. He never got that kiss as far as I'm aware. Asgore - Undertale - AKA THE BIGGEST GUILT TRIP- seriously, the neutral ending pecking hurts man. I didn;t want to hurt Asgore at all, and yet i had to bring him to his death. This man is in so much grief, he's done many things just to help his kind, and I felt terrible having to hurt him. I don't even know how I got the neutral ending. Finale - Undertale - Omega Flowey was... a trip. I feel terrible for him, knowing his backstory and such. He doesn't know what he's doing, and it really hurt seeing him tell me to kill him after the fight was over. sorry that my undertale bits are a bit less descriptive, I had my undertale phase back in 2017- But I mean, the game was great, and so was A Hat in Time. Go play those games. and go watch Hlvrai, it's great.
