Different style drawing of Kai I also might do a meme ^^ Bio: Name: Kai Gender: Female Sexuality: Straight Personality: Sweet, playful, gets angry easily, her voice changes when she gets angry, her voice becomes really "sharp" ;3 Species: Glass Cat Likes: The beach, reading, chilling on a hammock Dislikes: Any body of water, bullies, socializing, and ships (these will be explained later) Background: Kai didn't start out as a real cat. She was a glass cat statue filled with water. She belonged to a family with one son, living in a hidden village. The boy's parents were explorers and often left the village to travel to unknown destinations. Kai was their good luck charm and always came with them on their adventures. One fateful evening, the little boy was awaiting his parent's arrival back to the village, but they never arrived. Saddened, but not worried, he headed back to his family's hut and slept soundly. The next day he waited at the shores, hoping to catch a glimpse of their ship's hull on the horizon, but again, he saw nothing. Day turned into weeks and weeks into months, but nobody had seen or reported anything about them. The little boy, now in his teenage years, still hadn't given up hope about his parents and refused to accept their death...until one day. The young teenager woke up and carried on his normal routine: Wake up, get dressed, brush teeth, and head out to the lighthouse and wait for his parents. As he was walking up to the lighthouse he heard a loud sound coming from the ocean. Exhilarated, he ran up the stairs and looked out the window. To his excitement he saw a ship riding it was to the village, its flag fluttering softly in the wind. Now fully sure that his parents had returned, he raced down the lighthouse and gathered along the shoreline of the island. A single man stepped down from the ship and the little boy recognized him as one of his parent's guards. Confused, he made his way to the man and tapped him on the shoulder, "Sir Aaron? Where are my parents, have they returned at last?" Aaron turned around and for a second the boy could see pain flash in his eyes. "What?" The boy asked, bile rising in his throat, "Where are my parents?!" Aaron hesitated, but eventually, he gathered up the courage and spoke, "Your parents..have passed away. Still in shock, the boy began to laugh, "Aaron, I do wish you would stop messing around with me." He opened his eyes and saw Aaron with his head down, and tears streaming down his face. Realizing he wasn't joking, he stopped laughing and slowly sank to the ground. Stuttering, he spoke softly, "Y-you m-mean my par-parents are d-dead?" He choked out. Grasping his head, he began to feel dizzy and fell onto the soft sand, and the blackness washed over him like a wave. (Part 2 in Notes B3, I don't want to make this to long OwO)
Part 2. The boy, still in shock woke up to the soft murmuring of the wind, and the loud chirps of the bird in the sky. Squinting, he opened his eyes and slowly sat up, pain and confusion clouding his thoughts. Then he remembered the terrible news that was delivered to his earlier that week. Falling back unto the bed, he closed his eyes and begged for it to all be a dream. Suddenly he heard someone entering the hut and peered through the window (it's a two-room hut UwU). Standing outside he saw Aaron talking to the doctor of the village, Eve. Aaron nodded to Eve and opened the door slowly and enter the room. The boy coldly turned his body away from the guard and refused to look at him. "Look, kid, I know your still in shock, but, I wanted to give you something." Uncertainty washed over the boy, but he turned around nevertheless. Aaron grabbed his hand and placed something cold and hard in his hand. Looking down the boy saw a little glass cat. Tears pricked the corner of his eyes and he realized it had belonged to his parents. "T-they wanted me to give this to you," Aaron said quietly. Now completely overwhelmed the boy grasped the statute tightly and cried. Aaron glanced at him and smiled gingerly. "There's a message in there for you.." He said softly. The boy looked down and through his tears, he saw a crumpled piece of paper floating in the bottle. Prying the cork off, he reached into the bottle and took out the soaked paper. It read: Dear our lovely son, We write to you, this time in sadness. Remember that we will always love you. Continue to be the bright young man we know you are. We hope that Kai will comfort you, and send both of you our best wishes. Love your parents, Lily and Richard Lynn The boy plunged into a river a joy and sadness, he smiled sadly at the cat statue and noticed another paper inside the bottle. Confused he carefully set the letter down and hooked the paper with his finger. Opening it he found a series of unknown letters, and a sentence written at the bottom: "Only to be read by our boy." The young man grinned through his tears and attempted to read out the letters. After he had finished, Kai began glowing brightly and the bottom half of her body shattered into pieces. Surprised he dropped the paper and reached his hand toward the light, and picking up the glowing cat statue. The light subsided and he was left with a quivering little cat. And that my friends is how Kai was born. (that took so long xD) So recap! The reason why Kai is afraid of water and ships is because of her memories when the little boy's parents died.
