Name: Tide Gender: Male Species: House Cat with “powers” Personality: Jumpy, easily startled and scared, usually quiet and shy, likes to be alone lots of time, when trusts you really trusts you and tells you everything, doesn’t have lots of energy most times expect in ocean Backstory: Tide was born as the runt of his litter. His parents lived with humans, and those humans decided that Tide had no use for them and was likely to die, so they put him in a bag and threw him out on the ocean. His mother was furious with the humans, and while Tide’s father begged and begged his mother to not go she escaped from the humans’ home in search of Tide, only mother’s love keeping her going. Meanwhile, Tide drifted out on the sea. At the time he was a mere 3 months old. His little claws ripped open the sack and he fell into the water. He tried to get back to the surface, but every time he tried he just went deeper and deeper. He was too weak to do anything else, so he lay limp. When he thought everything was over, he heard a voice in his head and an object with a glow drifting towards him. The voice said “Eat it.” Tide stretched out his neck and swallowed the little glowing object. Then he felt as he never had before, he felt almost powerful, and he felt as if he could breathe. He looked down at his legs and paws and saw that they had become water. His legs started doing movements that made him swim. He swam to the surface and broke the surface. He could breathe up there too he realized. He swam all the way to land and when he got out of the ocean he felt weak again. He looked at his paws again and they were still water, but somehow stable. The thing he eat must of given him “powers” he thought. He slowly went back into the ocean to see if his “powers” still worked. They did, he was able to breathe and swim. He played in the ocean for hours. The time went by and Tide learned how to live in the ocean and catch fish for food and all that. Then, one day he heard a cat yowling. A yowl that he recognized from his kithood. It was his mother he realized. He swam to her. She was over the moon to see her kit again after all that time. She began licking him and Tide told her everything thing that had happened. He still did not have a name by them, so his mother named him Tide for the tides of the ocean. Tide found a rock by land where they could both live, so that his mother could get to land easily and he could still enjoy the ocean. And they lived there for all their lives. The End ~
