Sorry it's a bit late. The pictures I drew (trad art) are finally in. Hope you enjoy this! I totally spaced sharing it over the weekend. Supplies used: Micron pens (02,01, 005), Gelly Roll white pen (05), Crayola colored pencils. [Honorable Mention] Miurín (Pink Dragon) [theme song: Silhouette (Owl City)] {preferred character} Background info: Miurín was born to a pair of immigrants in the United States, in Missouri. Specifically, Saint Louis. His mother was partly from Israel, and partly from Wales, thanks to her mixed heritage of parents, and his father came from Dublin, Ireland. They immigrated to the United States just after they were married, and became full citizens just as they found out his mother was pregnant. Miurín learned their native languages and was as fluent as them, while also perfectly fluent in English, blending in well with the rest of his class. He spent most of his time playing with his younger cousin, especially after his mother died of brain cancer when he was only six years old, raised by his father and his mother's relations, who'd moved with them at the same time. He was a relatively average student, though he was rather intelligent and far more creative than everyone in his class, drawing and writing short poetry in his free time, and often reading a fantasy or science fiction novel. He also took multiple martial arts classes for self-defense and to stay fit and healthy, after school. The only other difference was that he would have visions of the future, at random, throughout the day, and often during his sleep. It caused him to be rather more on edge and anxiously sleep-deprived. Even if he wanted to, he couldn't tell anyone more than hintings of what he foresaw, which was hard on everyone, especially him. Some of them were enough to send him into a gibbering mess for a few days, not leaving his room, or eating food. He graduated high school as one of the valedictorians, in a class of three hundred. Afterwards, he went to Missouri State for a major in art and theatre, and performed in choir and minored in business, planning to start a business with his cousin, who wouldn't be graduating for five more years, as soon as he was ready. The visions started to grow to be too much, and not even the anxiety medications he took would remove the edge from his mind. He could fake that he was alright until he went to bed, but he couldn't sleep without a sedative of some sort to keep him asleep for most of the night. Somehow, though, he managed to graduate college with his desired degrees, and moved out to the country, where he could be away from people and events, and reduce the frequency of his visions. His dream of opening a new business with his cousin, Fletcher, would never blossom. Eventually he had to return to society in order to take up a job, his collections of poetry, published under a pseudonym, not earning him enough money to stay in his solitude without sending him into debt. Instead of moving back to Saint Louis, he decided to move westward. One day, he found an ad in the papers asking for a new performing act at Wonderland, and he went in to audition. Out of the other applicants, only he was chosen, performing onstage for a large crowd with his trusty guitar and voice. What he didn't realize was that he had also been secretly selected to join the ranks of assassins that secretly roved Wonderland. Until he foresaw his recruitment. Miurín wasn't someone to say no to a request, and he wasn't bothered much by the idea of being an assassin. He was already plagued with visions. What more could guilt and bloody hands do to him that his visions already had? Link to his story:
Karin (Red Cat) [theme song: RISE (League of Legends)] Background info: Karin was born in Colorado, Denver, to be exact, and lived with her parents and older brother. She lived a rather more normal life, and had a great family and no problems, other than sensitivity to noise. She was an average student, with her only outstanding grades being within the realms of science and math. She went to college, but found it wasn't for her, and neither was a corporate job. Instead, she wanted to join the army. Just after basic training had been completed (she'd been at the top of her group in marksmanship and could outrun everyone, even with a pack on), she was driving home when there was an accident. She almost died, though she believed that she had truly died and was only a reanimated shell. The diagnosis: Cotard Disorder. She believed she was dead. Of course, she wasn't, and after she was allowed back into society, found a job at Wonderland, where she worked as a bartender for a while before being recruited as an assassin. Being dead herself, she had no problem with dealing the fatal cards with her speed and skill. They'd just never be reanimated like she had been.
