Welcome to the voice auditions for my upcoming visual novel, Castle Case! I would love to get some great talent on this project and so please, give this a try! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q&A: Q: What is a visual novel? A: It is an interactive story-based game. The player/reader gets to take part in the story and make choices that ultimately affect the narrative. (Kind of like those choose your own path books) Q: Can I audition for more than one character? A: Yes! Please do! Q: What is Castle Case about? A: Castle Case is an interactive story where the reader helps the main character, Princess Annabella, save her brother from the evil Jax Hunter. (More description in the "story" tab) Q: "These characters look like fun, but we don't have the same race. Can I still audition?" A: I am 100% diversity in media, and I would love to be able to cast those characters as their original race, but Scratch makes this really hard. Casting on Scratch is done by listening to audio samples. I can't tell anything like race just by hearing a voice! Please make the decision for yourself. I would love to make this better, but I can't regulate that sort of thing here. Q: When will this close? A: I don't quite know yet. I'll decided as I go, but you have probably a few weeks before then :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tips: -Record in a quiet space. I know good mics are hard to come by if you don't want to spend money, so the best thing to do is make sure there isn't any background noise. Sometimes it helps me to record under a blanket if I can't get it completely quiet. -Record each line more than once! I would love to see multiple possibilities for the character. -Try different voices. I am looking for voices for a bunch of very unique characters. I want to cast everyone to be individually recognizable.
