Interact with the BBFC by clicking on its buttons. Alternatively, you can use the following keys to press the buttons: 2 4 6 8 W R Y I ASDFGHJK You can change the bank by clicking on the corresponding part of the dial or by pressing the arrow keys. BBFC Sound Banks: Left - Built-in Songs 1-16 (OMNI Channel 1) Right - Built-in Songs 17-32 (OMNI Channel 2) Down - Notes F3-G5 Up - SFX This simulator starts in the "Notes F3-G5" mode, although the BBFC is depicted to be in the SFX mode.
The BBFC is based on the Holtek HT3894A voice/melody IC which is famously used in the Nichols Electronics OMNI ice cream truck music box. This chip appears to have been packaged into a COB-on-daughterboard form for use in the keyboard. The audio used in this simulator is provided by @whc2001 on YouTube. Notes: - The star-shaped LED light currently does not reflect the sound volume level due to Scratch not having a dedicated block for retrieving it. Issues: - The simulator lights up which bank is selected - this is not how the original keyboard shows which bank is selected. The dial is manually rotated so that the appropriate bank is facing up. See impostorboo's remix for an implementation of it. - Clicking the stop sign causes the pitch effect to reset. A recommendation is to always use the green flag to stop the current sound rather than the stop sign.
