This is the beta for my secret project. This is the beta for something very complicated to make on Scratch (see below). And this is the design for a game I'm making in real life. You heard that right. I'm making games in real life. I'm just using Scratch to make the "skeleton" of my game. ------------------------------------ Controls: -Move with arrow keys or WASD -Attack with space -Talk to NPCs with E -Reach the edge of the screen to go to the next screen on the map -Touch hearts to pick them up. --------------------------------------- What to do (if you're confused/stuck): -Meet the NPC! -Battle the giant mechanical spider! -Explore different screens. ---------------------------------------- Coming Soon: -Powerup drop balancing -Massive art upgrade -More areas! ---------------------------------------- What is so complicated? You will notice that like the original zelda game, reaching the edge of the screen takes you to a new screen. It's actually extremely complex and took me almost 5 hours of headaches to complete. You can look in the code for an explanation. There are comments in the code, so follow them. --------------------------------------- Update Log: -11/24/20 - 1 view - Released! -11/25/20 - 1 view - The Loose Ends Update -Finished NPC dialogue -Added a new screen -Added more enemies (including a miniboss) -Added a VERY thorny obstacle -Added a menu with combat tips -Improved the Game Over screen -Fixed various bugs -12/4/20- The Polish Update -Updated all sprites -Fixed a bug -Added a weapon upgrade system -fixed NPC dialogue -1/29/21- 4 views- The Music Update -Added some original music! -Added a "cool" new area -3/11/21- 10 views- The Bonus Update -Added a new item popup -Made heart pickups smaller -4/2/21- 10 views- The Walls Update -Added walls!!! -Made the spider miniboss not respawn -4/6/21- 10 views- MASSIVE STORY UPDATE -Added a ton of new dialogue for after you beat the spider miniboss! ------------------------------------ Thanks for reading and playing!
Thanks to Undertale, Dark Souls 3, and the original Zelda game for the idea. I little bit of credit to Steven Universe as well. The combat is partially inspired by the game Hades. Thanks to lisobell for testing and falconflight08 for some story ideas.
