Idk why Scratch ends up even doing the first one normally. The second one is what happens when you set the pen transparency to 100 beforehand, then pen down, then set the transparency to the actual one.
I had a few dumber ideas on how to do this and then tested this. This one only costs an extra block, which is nice.
