And I have to run for my life all day and night. You see, my mom was an executive businesswoman at one of the richest companies there, Red Corp. One quiet evening, she raced home and grabbed twin velvet suitcases... I never saw her again after that. After her disappearance, my father became depressed, and left me and my little brother to fend for ourselves. 1 year later he passed on... Nowadays, me and Noah, my brother, roam the forest, picking berries and hunting small animals. Noah doesn’t talk much, but can do lots with a bow and arrow. I prefer to use a spear... It fends off the Rose. The Rose are an elite group of captors who work 24/7, leaving no time for dilly-dallying. If we even know how to do it anymore. In our forest, smiles are a luxury. Happiness is unthinkable. And joy is the last thing on our young minds. I am only alive until they catch me.
