Hello! This is a Pokemon Stat Calculator. You can use it to calculate what a certain Pokemon's stat will be based on certain factors. First, you should select what stat you are going to calculate by clicking on the top button. There are 6 stats, HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack (SpAtk for short,) Special Defense (SpDef for short) and Speed. Next, click on "Change Base" to change the Pokemon's Base stat from the default 100. Each Pokemon species has different stats, and the higher the base stat, the higher the stat will be. To find a Pokemon's base stat, I would recommend looking on Bulbapedia. The maximum is 255, which is Blissey's base HP and the minimum is 5, which some Pokemon have for a stat. The highest attack stat is 181 (Kartana) the highest special attack stat is 173 (Xurkitree) the highest defense and special defense is 230 (Shuckle) and the highest speed stat is 200 (Regieleki.) This does not include Pokemon that are not in Pokemon Sword. Note that Shedinja's HP is always 1. This project does not account for different Pokemon species Then, Change some of the other factors. The Pokemon's level, of course, represents how strong the Pokemon is and one with a higher level will have higher stats and will deal more damage. A Pokemon's EVs, or Effort Values range from 0 to 252 in each stat. After defeating any Pokemon, your own Pokemon will gain Exp. Points and also EVs, depending on the Pokemon you defeated. Usually, a stat increases by 1 (No, but actually, 1, not like in the in-battle stat changes) for every 4 EVs a Pokemon has. IVs, or Individual Values are values that are generated when you find a Pokemon and can only change when you hyper train them with bottle caps. They range from 0 to 31 for each stat and determine how fast a Pokemon's stat will grow. A Pokemon with a high level will usually have their stat incresed by their IV. Another type of modifier is called a Nature. They increase one stat by 10% but decrease another. If a Pokemon only uses Physical moves, it can probably benefit from an Adamant nature which increases attack but decreases special attack, a stat it doesn't use, or a jolly nature which decreases special attack and increases speed. There are five natures, Serious (the default,) Hardy, Docile, Bashful and Quirky that do not modify the Pokemon's stats at all. You can look up "nature chart" to see the effects of all natures. There is also a type of modifier that occurs mid battle called stat changes. People usually say things like "Attack fell by 1" or "Speed rose by 2," which might not seem by much, but it actually means "2 Stages." A stat can rise or fall by a maximum of 6 stages. A stat that rose by 1 stage will be multiplied by 1.5, if it rose by 2 stages it will be multiplied by 2, and 3 by 2.5, so the factor increases by 0.5 when a stat increases by 1 stage, the highest being x4, a huge difference. Depending on how many times the stat fell, it will be multiplied by 2/3 if it fell once, 2/4 if twice, 2/5 if 3 times and so on. Note that stat changes cannot modify HP. Selecting HP will reset your stat changes. Finally, you can add ability and item modifiers, something that most other stat calculators don't add. To do so, you have to first select your stat (changing it will reset the item and ability) and then click on "Other Modifiers." To select an ability/item click on "change" under the list. Then, type in the ability/item from the list that you want the Pokemon to have or the number on the list that corresponds to the ability/item. Type "0" or "None" to reset it. There are no abilities/items that modify HP. Note that many abilities such as blaze and items such as the mystic water and will only increase the power of moves, not the attacking stat and are not included in the list. Burn does not cut Attack in half but is used in damage calculation apart from Attack/Defense and move power. Also note that some items are Pokemon-Specific items and only have effects when held by a specific Pokemon. Finally, abilities and items that are not in Pokemon Sword and Shield due to the pokedex cuts, such as Grass Pelt, are not included in this project. Click on "Calculate" to see the final calculation!
Thanks to Bulbapedia for all the information I needed on stats. They have a list of moves, abilities and items that modify stats (Although there was a mistake; they said Battery modifies Special Attack when it modifies the power of Special moves) and it was really useful. Thanks!
