Welcome to In Hot Water! A difficult platformer about love and anger. I worked on this for a very long time, so I hope you are prepared for the tropical air and piping hot precision platforming! With four total worlds to explore, this challenge will surely propel you to a focused fever. All jokes aside, this platformer is extremely difficult, so feel free to only do what you are comfortable with! Press "N" to start a new game. Instructions: Use arrow keys to move. To wall-jump (off of a left wall in this example), press the up-arrow key and left arrow key at the same time. You may not be wall-jumping because you are not holding against that wall. In World 4, switch between the fireside and the snowside by pressing "space"! While in a cutscene, press "B" to end it whenever you like. Access the menu by pressing "M". The menu is mostly used for showing what level you are on. Closing the menu resets the level, so only open it to check what level you're on to come back to later. Music used: March of the Profane by Danny Baranowsky [Menu] Death Mountain (Combat) by Danny Baranowsky [W1] Frozen Grotto (Combat) by Danny Baranowsky [W2] Fear of the Unknown by Lena Raine [W3] Scattered and Lost by Lena Raine [W4] Heart of the Mountain by Lena Raine [Cutscene and End] Golden by Lena Raine [Extra] Windmill Hut (Intense) by Danny Baranowsky [???] Credits: I could not have made this game without @Wes64test 's platformer engine. I was looking through a platformer engine studio that was on the front page, and this one happened to have a wall-jump feature I could easily turn off. Thank you so much for this! To recap, this platformer is very difficult, but is interesting and unique from other platformers on Scratch. All I ask is that you see the full extent of the project; there's no shame in skipping a few to see all the content. Want to create your own levels? See the "Instructions" sprite to learn how!
Welcome to On Thin Ice! A difficult platformer about loss and sorrow. I worked very hard on this, so I hope you are prepared for the icy breeze and and an arctic adventure in accuracy! With 50+ total levels to explore, this chilling challenge is sure to test your limits. All jokes aside, this platformer is extremely difficult, so feel free to skip levels with "N" when you need to! Press "N" to start a new game. Instructions: Use arrow keys to move. Skip levels by pressing "N", and at the Title Screen press "N" to start a new game. In World 4, switch between the snowside and the fireside by pressing "space"! While in a cutscene, click the buttons to switch slides. Access the menu by pressing "M". From the title screen, the menu allows you disable "Story Mode" (disables all cutscenes and automatic music changes). It also allows you to change the music that plays if Story Mode is disabled. Story Mode is highly recommended! Music used: Dance of the Decorous by Danny Baranowsky [Menu] Death Mountain (Peaceful) by Danny Baranowsky [W1] Frozen Grotto (Peaceful) by Danny Baranowsky [W2] Fear of the Unknown by Lena Raine [W3] Scattered and Lost by Lena Raine [W4] Heart of the Mountain by Lena Raine [Cutscene and End] Golden by Lena Raine [Extra] Windmill Hut (Peaceful) by Danny Baranowsky [???] Credits: Probably obvious from the music credits, but much of the inspiration from this game came from the games Celeste and Crypt of the Necrodancer. The temperature mechanic is based off of Chapter 8 of Celeste (World 3 is basically a copy of it...) and CotND gave inspiration for the game's and worlds' titles. If you can afford these games, I suggest you get them! In summary, this project took a long time, and I really tried to separate it from other platformers on Scratch. All I ask is that you see what it has to offer; there's no pressure to complete all the levels. I do not care for advertising. Advertising therefore leads to reporting. Revealing the secret isn't a big deal, but still don't do it. Cheers!
