~VERY LONG WARNING~ Hello everyone. Today I’m here to talk about something that’s been bugging me. Anti-Gachas on Scratch Now, I don’t have any issue with not liking Gacha. Plenty of people don’t. The issue starts when they create studios dedicated to being an ‘Anti-Gacha.’ Why is this an issue? Well, you see, usually a Studio is formed about people who LIKE something. Warriors, Gacha, Pokémon, fanfiction, that kinda thing. And when that happens, those Studios talk about what they love, and it will generally be a positive place! Now, what do you think happens with the opposite? People will talk about what they HATE, and it will be a negative place. Think about it. If you’re in a studio dedicated to your favorite book series, you can talk about the latest book, the cliffhangers, the characters, the setting, the plot, all of that! But if you’re in a studio dedicated to HATING that book series... You’ll talk about what makes it bad. Over. And over. And over. Once again, it’s okay to dislike that series. But making a whole STUDIO about how much you dislike it? Really? Not to mention they want it destroyed, ruining it for all the people that use it for fun, and don’t even post it anywhere. Now, onto another point. One of the biggest issues Anti-Gachas have with Gacha is the inappropriate content. ...Which doesn’t even happen on Scratch. That would be like complaining about how bad the US is because of California in New York! What the heck are they gonna do about it? I’m not sure about you, but I know I don’t have a YouTube account. Which means I can’t comment on the bad videos telling them to stop or anything. And I’m willing to bet most of you guys don’t either. So what are we expected to do? Then we have the grammar. Yes, most Gacha videos have bad grammar. But complaining about it won’t help! Instead, Anti-Gachas could make videos about grammar, to help improve it! Next, we have the stereotypes and clichés. What I mean by these, are the uwu gay femboys, hot bad alpha wolf boys, and hated child type stuff. Once again, I mainly see this issue I’m YouTube. While there are a few Gacha series that seem quite fond of ‘bad boys’, most have interesting storylines! And, instead of ranting about it in a studio, Anti-Gachas could politely comment about how a negative stereotype is in use, and how it should be avoided! Next, we have the customization and art style. Gacha is based off an anime/manga art style. Pokémon, Yo-Kai Watch, My Hero Acadamia, that kinda thing. Which means that not everyone will like that art style, and that’s okay! But, as I’ve mentioned before, complaining about it over, and over, and over... That’s just annoying. Now, for the customization. Gacha Club definitely improved that. However, I do have to admit that not all OCs transfer well from mind to Gacha Club. But that DOES not mean the customization is terrible. I’ve made plenty of OCs that I think look unique, and plenty of other people have to! Just look at all the studios! Now, onto the next, and final, thing. Gacha is something people enjoy. And imagine how YOU would feel if someone made a Studio about how terrible that thing is. Yes, Gacha has a toxic side. But instead of making studios about that, and repeating the same things over and over, we should work together to improve it. (I know there’s a Studio for that, but that one still has a lot of people politely debating, and not doing anything to improve the state of the community)
I’ve seen a lot of Anti-Gacha rants, but not Pro-Gacha ones, so here. If you’re an Anti-Gacha, I don’t hope that you’ll change your opinions on Gacha, but your opinions on how you can help! :D And please, I’ve seen most of the rants you guys make.
