My motivation for this mini-project is to study the angular behavior of the distant electric field of a ring of alternating charges (1st order Legendre approximation). An interesting phenomenon happens where if the ring size N is an even number, and M is the recurrence of the same angle (how many times the hue goes through a full rainbow on the outer edges of the screen), M = N/2 + 1. It seems very unintuitive that a ring of 8 charges would look like it has 5 spokes, which would indicate some five-ness about the actual charge distribution.
