You've entered the Restricted Area, for no reason other than to see why it is restricted. As you discover, there was a good reason. Mostly that it is weird and dangerous. This game is fairly hard, you may need to skip several levels in order to complete it. Instructions are included in the game, but here they are anyway; WASD/arrows: Movement E: Dash (level 3+) Click: Shoot (level 4+) O: skip level (doesn't work on last level) The game has 26 levels including two boss fights.
All by me, bar the boss music. Basically as original as I could make it, with a wide variety of level styles. Update 1.1: made the final boss easier and some visual tweaks.
