Thank you so much for the creator of this line art. I was inspired by my cat Cyrus. He was 8 months old and was a TANK. That is the one thing I couldn't show as well in this drawing was how solid he was. He was in a litter of three kittens that we found in the crawlspace under our house. I think his momma had other babies that she was trying to take care of as well and wasn't able to take care of both, or she just left. When we found the kittens they where a couple days old and where almost dead they were so cold. We didn't want to take them in too soon in case momma cat came back, but after a day we took them in. We noticed right away that one of the kittens wasn't breathing, but that didn't stop us from trying. We rubbed on Cyrus with a warm towel until by a miracle he took a gulp off air and started to mew. Cyrus and his brother and sister were put under a heat lamp as soon as we could get them and got some warm milk replacer in their bellies. We had a bottle lamb earlier in the year and had milked and frozen the left over milk from a ewe thats lamb didn't survive. The kittens didn't want to take the replacer and we got so worried that they were going to starve that we tried warming up some sheep milk and gave it to them. They loved it. We did the research on whether it would be good for the kittens and found out it was actually more nutritious than cat milk. They grew like weeds and lived in our kitchen in a black tub until they could climb out. The second that Cyrus could walk over to me I knew that we would have a special bond. He used to come up to my room in the middle of the night and lay with me til I fell asleep. He only did this when I couldn't sleep. He would come lay next to me while I did homework until I got it done, even though his siblings were never interested in me. I have many other cats but none have the same bond as what I had with him. I knew from the moment he started mewing to my last moment with him, that what we had as pals was irreplaceable.
I will never forget my little fighter. Rest in peace Cyrus my baby.
