Type in the word that appears on the screen. At the end it'll tell your your wpm, which is measured on how many words you typed it one minute. It will also tell you how many you got correct. If you finish early on a word before it is all the way up on the screen, type it again to get more wpm. Note: This is not the most accurate reading, so if you think your wpm has dramatically decreased or increased since you tested it last on another website, it probably hasn't. :) (if you type at about 30-40 wpm, the reading should be fairly accurate. If you type a lot faster then it will be to low, and if you type a lot slower the reading will be too high.)
