Story, sorry if it's not THAT great. I'm not really that used to writing them. ^^ : As the snow continued to roar, Ivy`Eyes struggled back onto her paws... They felt extremely numb and she hurriedly nudged her kits to their paws as they began to continue on their way out of the forest... She needed to make it to the frozen crossing. The border between her and happiness. She knew deep down she most likely wouldn't make it... But the will to keep going for her young was too strong. Sighing she started padding faster. Pushing herself to the limits just to keep from collapsing into the cold snow once again. She couldn't help but question... Was this truly better for her kits at this point? This wasn't meant to happen! They were supposed to be curled up in a warm, welcoming nursery. Far from the home they once known. She had clearly underestimated the distance between Blizzardclan and Waveclan. All the tales she was told as a kit really did make it sound easy... Ivy`s ears twitched, as the sound of her whimpering kits caught her attention... ``Just a little longer...`` She promised, trying to distract them from the pain of the snow, crashing against their bodys. 'We have to be close' she'd think to herself. Starting to sprint, her kits struggling to keep up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- They had been walking for what felt like moons. Ivy no longer had it in herself to sprint. She could barely hear or see anything. Not even the sound of water roaring in the distance, as the tree's started to clear she began to stumble. The smallest of her kits was clung to her side. Trying to get even a single bit of warmth. Her eyes filled with tears, that almost instantly froze to her fur as she saw a river. The sound of the current stung and as she looked at the snow below her, her legs gave in, and she flopped to the floor. The forest behind them had almost disappeared. Leaving a pure white clearing. The river was half frozen. Chunks of shimmering ice floating inside of the harsh water, that looked like it could drag away even the strongest of cats... As her breathing slowed she couldn't help but notice the sounds of people in the distence. Curling up against her kits she closed her eyes. She could rest in peace knowing that they were now safe.
