Thousands of years ago, there was a fox. She lived in the biggest field you could ever imagine, filled with plants and creatures of all sorts- and they all lived in harmony. There was no need of hunting for food, for it was everywhere. In the near distance, there was a river. It was the longest, most majestic river in all the land. All the animals in the field drank from it, as the water was so clean and pure. Although everything was perfect- a living paradise it was- the fox had a deep sense of foreboding. One night, the fox awoke. There was a strange sound humming. It came from the trees, the dirt, and even the skies above. Everything was darker than usual; there were no stars shining, and the moon could barely be seen. The fox felt that it wasn’t safe. On the corner of her eye, she saw a shadow. It had no distinct silhouette, but something told her that it was not of this world. She fled to the direction where the sound was heard the least. When she glanced behind, she saw the unearthly being heading her way. She trotted as fast as her little fox legs could carry her. She ended up in front of the river. The creature appeared in front of her. She was cornered. Trapped. The creature was larger than an elephant. The fox looked straight into the monster’s eyes. It was blood red, and it glowed so brightly. Though it was almost pitch black, she could see it’s long, sharp claws itching to attack. There was a dark aura within it. She tried calling for help, but nobody could hear her screams. Besides, even the fiercest lion would stand a change against this… thing. It made a low grumble that slowly turned into a roar. It crept closer and closer to the poor, defenseless fox. It was ready to pounce. There was nowhere else to go. But then, she heard a voice in the back of her head telling her to go to the ground below. What did that even mean? The water? She had no time to think about it. She had to act fast. It slashed its claws. Although she didn’t know how to swim, and nobody knew how deep it was, she jumped into the river behind her; and not a second too late. But the fox was not out of danger yet. Slowly but surely, she sank to the bottom of the water. Every second was a living hell. She struggled all she could to survive, but she couldn’t do anything more. She was barely conscious, and prepared to take her last breath. Suddenly, a huge pod wrapped around her. It was filled with warmth and protection. All of a sudden, she felt like a kit again- always happy and oblivious to the world around her. Miraculously, she was alive. “You’re safe now.” ---------- Bio: Name: Brooke Gender: Female, straight Species: Fox Personality: Clever, Uptight, Active, Athletic, Caring Likes: Rain, Cloudy days, Bright things, Stars, Rivers Dislikes: Dry days, Being confused, Illogical things Hobbies: Swimming, Singing ---------- *inhale* I'll just stick to my old art style lol s h e ' s n o t d e a d
