After it stopped, she got up to hear what it was, curious. She exited the warriors den silently, and looked around the camp. The moon shined down on the camp as two cats had left the camp, but she had got up too late to see who it was. She followed them silently. The cats had seemed to head to an area free from trees nearby a cliff. Once they had stopped, Dawnleaf watched them. She narrowed her eyes at the cats. They were staring at the moon from the edge of the cliff, tails entwined. One cat rested their head on the other cat's shoulder. Dawnleaf got closer, and saw the pelt colors more clearly, and she scented the air. Sunblaze... and Nightpool... Tears emerged from her eyes as she watched the two. Clearly in love. She ran. She ran as fast as she could. She didn't care where. She couldn't take it. She finally got to a place silent and away from anything. She just cried and cried. The wind picked up, and as she sat there, the flower Sunblaze had given her flew off her ear. She lifted a paw, getting ready to chase after it, but she stopped. She began sobbing. She curled up, continuing to cry. She cried herself to sleep. She was too late. Sunblaze had found another girl. Her feelings towards him would never be changed, but it was over. Gone. Her chance was gone.
