wasd to move e to open the doors ❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌ VERY LAGY post fps and any ideas to increase fps ❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌ The resolution can change fps but doesn't look as good the ray move dist variable controls how many steps the ray moves before it hits the wall- the higher it is it mite remove chunks from the walls but it is less lagy now all I have writen about lag doesn't matter because my fps counter shows 18 with res at 6 and ray move dist at 5 but I cannot delete because I spent time writing it.
thanks to PutneyCat the code of the basic raycaster engine I did the rest This is a sprite based raycaster not a list based one I couldn't get my head around list collision and I wanted to make a raycaster so I went looking for a tutorial and I found a sprite based raycaster tutorial without curved edges on PutneyCat profile, The 1 thin about this the bit in the engine where trigonometry used to get square walls but I will figure it out. go check out PutneyCats tutorial on sprite based raycasters https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/396207097/
