Good News! ~Broken~ is still alive! I remembered it existed a few days ago! Chapter four is (FINALLY) here! ~+~CHAPTER FOUR~+~ Storm cowered behind Desert as the big tom Adder had been talking to glared at her. His pupils were narrow slits as he inspected her and Thistle with his piercing gaze. Storm felt as if he was staring into her very soul. She ruffled her new feathers, trying to shake the feeling. “I see you’ve brought KITS too, Adder.” Snake hissed. “It doesn’t matter. They’re scrawny things, anyway.” Adder flared her wings. “Do NOT talk about them that way!” “Will you raise them to be traitors, like their mother?” he taunted. “Or will they be deserters, like their father?” Storm watched as her mothers muscles tensed, like they did when she was about to pounce on prey. Snake did not see it. Adder leaped onto her brother, pinning him to the ground. Her sharp claws dug into his shoulders. “Insult my family again,” she hissed, her voice barely audible. “See what happens.” Snake struggled beneath his sister, vainly trying to escape her grasp. What seemed like eternities later, Adder slowly backed off Snake, letting him leap to his paws. He let out one last hateful hiss before limping deeper into the village. Then, she turned to Storm and Thistle. “Don’t believe anything that cat says.” she says passionately. “He’s full of so much hate that whatever he says is meant to hurt someone.” Thistle jumps up. “I didn’t believe a word of it!” he exclaimed happily. “He was obviously untrustworthy. I mean, his name is Snake!” While Thistle beamed at his mother, Storm couldn’t share his point of view. “Why did we come here, Mother?” “What do you mean, darling?” “Why did you bring us here when all we will receive is hate?” she asked. “No matter how hard we try, it’s obvious that we’ll never belong here.” Adder curled her tail around her daughter. “Oh, Storm . . .” she sighed. “It may not feel right to be here, but it’s safe.” Storm pulled away. “Is it? That Snake didn’t seem too safe to ME.” she snapped. “And what did he mean when he said you followed the ‘Betrayer’? That doesn’t sound like a very GOOD thing, Mother.” “I told you not to believe a word that cat said.” Adder scolded. Bramble stepped up to his mate. “Adder, stop.” he said, softly. “If they are going to be neglected here, they should know why.” Adder sighed. “Alright. But we need somewhere safe to go, first.” She looked hopefully at Desert. “You don’t happen to have a house lying around for a new fisher family, do you?” “As a matter of fact, I do! It’s called my place!” he exclaimed. “Thank you, Desert.” said Bramble, sincerely. “Come, kits. It’s time for a story . . ."
Thanks to @Happy_Doggo16 for Desert! Thanks to @fun-eevee for being an amazing fan and sticking with this series! (even when I didn't) Thanks to @Amberkitti for the original series, Flight - A Tale of Two Sisters. It's totally awesome, so you should maybe go read it, or this story might not make much sense. It SERIOUSLY won't make sense if you haven't read Warriors (Written by Erin Hunter). Basically, its about Cats, Power, and Tragedy (lots of tragedy). That about sums it up. Enjoy!
