cake mmmmm watch, then arrow keys Bio in the Notes and Credits I may or may not make an animation Backstory (keep in mind that the world that she lives in is a little bit different from our world): Hello Diary, to keep this brief, we have a writing assignment to write in third-person point of view of our life. I hope you'll enjoy reading it! Matcha used to be a lonely little stray, trying to find a home. The people there that were in the same village spread rumors that it was a cat that was sent to bring them bad luck, so no one really wanted her. Unfortunately, she could understand human words, and was very sad about that. As Matcha was strolling along again like every single regular day, an orange cat that she's never seen before came along. "Hey, I heard there's a cat in the woods that can help you with your problem." Matcha's ears shot up. "Could you please... tell me where in the woods exactly and what the cat looks like?" After a moment of hesitation, he said, "I'm sorry, but I can't exactly explain that to you. It's not exactly easy to explain how she looks like, and she could be anywhere in the woods." "Alright, that's fine...Thank you anyway!" Matcha didn't care if he even knew what problems she had and if he did, how. It was still worth a shot. "No problem." As he was going to leave, Matcha asked, "It was nice meeting you. What's your name? Of course, you don't need to provide me an answer...I just hope I could maybe...make some friends." After some hesitation, the cat said, "Sorry, but...I want to keep my identity safe. Even if I tell you the reason, you're not going to believe it. I'm sorry. We can still be friends though!" He smiled, and quickly left before she said anything. Matcha ran into the woods. It was a big place, but she was determined to find the cat he was talking about. She walked through many places in the woods but just couldn't find any other cat except herself. Her paws became sore from walking, and fatigue flooded through her. "I'll just rest on this tree for for now," Matcha thought. She climbed up the tree easily, just as her father taught her. She then found a cozy branch to rest on and closed her eyes. "Matcha," an unfamiliar voice said. No, it wasn't unfamiliar, it was....both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. The cat---or human, because she hears both of them the same way---poked her, startling Matcha and almost making her fall off the branch. She rubbed her eyes and took a closer look at the cat who said her name. She realized it was impossible to describe how she looked like, and so it MUST be the one that the orange cat was talking about. "I finally found her," Matcha thought. The cat laughed. Matcha jumped again, but this time, she really fell off the tree. Luckily, the branch wasn't that high off the ground, so she wasn't injured at all. "Oh dear, she's kind of creepy," Matcha thought. "but I still need to ask her for help." "I'm not creepy, it's just that I can mind read." The cat laughed again. Shyly, Matcha said, "Then you probably mind read me and know this already, but I need your help. I--" Before she could continue, the cat interrupted her. "I'll need to tell you something first: you have the last power that I do not have, which is knowing how to understand humans. Now, I can only mind read the cats inside the woods, but if you gave me your power, I'll give you what you want, and also give you something extra. If not, you can leave now." It wasn't like she was giving a choice. Matcha didn't exactly like that she could understand humans anyway, but the cat seems to really want it, so it could be something important that shouldn't be given away so easily. She hesitated, but at last, she gave her answer. "Sure, you can have it, but I don't know how to give it to you." The cat smiled. "Of course! I can do that for you. Come over here." Matcha cautiously walked up to her. She still couldn't exactly trust the cat, but Matcha was this desperate. She was desperate enough to trust this stranger who could mind read. The cat put her paw to Matcha's shoulder and asked, "Have you ever wondered who I was?" She felt a little something, and the cat then told her to go. She said goodbye and thank you, then went back to the village. In the village, she accidentally bumped into a human girl with a tree on her head just like her, except it's a different color, there was only one tree, and there were these long, transparent, red thingies that were attached to it. She had a cheerful expression on her face, wearing a light green hoodie without the hood with leaves on it, long sleeves, and a short, no-sleeve shirt on top of that which was light blue. She had a skirt the color of a cloudless sky, and it had a bell and ribbon made of leaves on it. Her skin was gray, and her wavy, brown hair was in a loose ponytail at Matcha's right side. After a few moments of staring, she licked the human. the backstory got too long, so continue reading in the Notes and Credits.
Remember to read the 1st part of the backstory in the Instructions first! Matcha thought she tasted like food, and took an ultra tiny bite without hesitation. She was really hungry and didn't care of the human would chase her away, but the bite only left a small scratch. Surprisingly, the girl just laughed. "You must be hungry," she said. Matcha was surprised that she could still understand human words. This time, she wasn't sad about that. She was glad she had that ability. She was glad the human understood what she wants. Matcha had the biggest feast she ever had in her entire life, and the human kept her. As she soon realized, the girl was named Lily. Lily didn't call her a name, she just called her kitty. After: Matcha soon went into the woods again to visit the cat. She talked with her and discovered two things: 1. The cat was her mother. 2. She didn't actually do anything to her. No magic spell or anything like that. Those don't even exist. It was just trying to motivate her to be brave and go up to a human. Any one of them would have realized she wasn't bad luck. (btw if you didn't know, Lily is one of my OCs. Go to my ref/test account that is linked on my profile if you want to see her design) If you read the whole thing, good job and thanks for reading! I feel like it's harder to make animal backstories... Personality: energetic, curious, pretty much always cheerful, even when she's "not supposed to." Doesn't talk when it isn't too necessary. Name: Matcha Age: to be decided favorite person/thing: Lily (her owner) gender: female relationships: Lily is her owner. See above (cuz I'm too lazy to get the link) powers (may or may not be a disadvantage): flowers trail behind her when she walks but slowly disappear. This can sometimes be annoying if she is trying not to be found, because she can't turn it off.
