V.3 of CRQ Testing. Controls and Known Bugs are here! Not everything is completely functional yet - this is only a concept for a possible game. V1: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/415620666/ V2: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/439382560/ Controls AD/Left & Right arrow keys: Move Space: Jump; hold Space while jumping to glide W/Up arrow key: Look up (partly functional) S/Down arrow key: Look down (partly functional) Z: Interact if you're close to an object, door or NPC X: Open/Close Map (partly functional) C: Show/Hide Quest Details and Held Item (Recommended to hide them once you start platforming) V: Open/Hide variables (Hidden by default. This will not be in the final release - this is just here for those who are curious.) Known Bugs If you have any solutions to these, let me know. I haven't coded games in a while so all of these are my fault lol - Animations sometimes override another (like running when jumping or gliding) - Chibi Ranai sometimes clips into the ground, temp. fix is to jump again to fix position - Terrain's y-position becomes weird when gliding (i sort of have a fix for this via the jump/glide time variable, though the current script for that broke at detecting the variable), temporary fix is to stop holding space once Chibi Ranai is gliding
Scratch Wiki for helping with improving the scripts. SFX from Sonic Mania. Digimon belongs to Bandai Namco. Dragalia Lost belongs to Cygames and Nintendo. V.3 of this testing project now plays like an actual game. I implemented most of the scripts I wanted to, but I'm sharing this a bit sooner than I want to so my teacher can mark it. (@Jack-Thander, I will use those tutorials you linked eventually!!) As a result, a few things I did want to implement like completing the Map feature, giving Look Up/Down proper functions and Chibi Ranai's dialogue will be held off. I'm thinking of possibly updating this project with those properly working. You can look inside and find a concept I have for the Tutorial Level! There's a map concept, and even planned dialogue and tutorial messages. Let me know what you think of this concept, and if you have any solutions to the Known Bugs I've listed. Also give me any improvements I should make. I will make final revisions to things like the controls and finish a few features before I develop the actual Tutorial level of Chibi Ranai's Quest. If enough people are interested in this, I might turn this from a concept to an actual game series of projects!
