This was not planned at all, but when I heard this song while cruising through a new playlist for a different project, I thought of May Castellan, Marie Levesque, and Beryl Grace most of way through the song. I also cried all five times I listened to this song the entire way. MAY: May Castellan was an underrated character, and I think she was great character, in my opinion. She wanted to be with her son at all times so she tried to be the Oracle, unaware of the spell Hades put on it. Then a few years later her son ran away from her because she had gone crazy. And from that day on, she kept making sandwiches and cookies for him, even after Luke was gone. She kept making them for a son who would never return. Unaware of anything other than her clinging onto that faint hope that he would one day return. BERYL: She just wanted attention, and it seemed like the biggest accomplishment to attract the attention of Zeus, king and ruler of Olympus. She couldn't stand being left alone, and admired the attention he gave her. She ruined her career just to see him because she cared about him deeply. However, this caused rivalry between her and Thalia. After he had to leave for good, she became even more unstable and unable to do what she needed to do, later causing Thalia to run away. When Jason was given away as a peace offering to Hera, and that effected her even more. MARIE: Marie Levesque only wanted to give Hazel a good life. Her job was predicting the futures of other people, however she didn't believe this herself. This got the attention of Hecate, who helped her find and summon Pluto. He offered to grant her one thing she wanted, and that was all the wealth from the ground, and like he had promised, he gave it to her. She was tired of living on nothing, and loved Hazel, which forced her to make the choice to move to Alaska, where nothing could harm her or Hazel. And at the end of her journey, she was willing to sacrifice herself to save and protect Hazel.
