So basically, on Asgard they sent science probes to earth and stuff with time capsule things and audio recordings (audio recordings that magically match any language b/c magic and sci fi is the best :) ) The ancient earthlings were all like, "woAh" "DiEtieS" Anyways, mythos were made and from those mythos comic books were drawn. From that Marvel movies were made, and we have an earthen culture that's basically what it is in the real world. ExCepT thEre ReaLlY aRe AsgArdiAns -Thor is actually pretty scholarly. He's moderately athletic, but spends most of his time studying. Thor's name means "wise" or "Scholarly", he tries to live up to it. He's hardworking and honest, though he does have a bit of a short temper. Sometimes he gets anxious about his future. Loki and Thor used to effectively be the "Fred and George" of Asgard, but Thor got older and started focusing on his studies more, and the younger Loki got left in the dust. its fInE they're both pretty normal stability wise. for now... Loki loves to entertain people, start new trends and throw parties. Sometimes he gets depressed by the lack of actual emotions...but he's fine, he knows where to draw the lines..hehe Embla: Embla was whom the Earthlings called "Hel". She has numerous health problems and some mental illness, but she's actually really sweet and kind. There are times when she hallucinates or has panic attacks, but they know how to deal with that, heck it's all futuristic. thErE sHouLd bE nO stIgmA OH mY woRd It's hard and she's 12 and awesome and brave Thor and Loki both loved Embla and wanted to make her the happiest they could, and when they started to drift apart a little it was their shared love of their family that kept them together. Loki was a little closer to Embla than Thor. Odin was a wise ruler who loved science and math. He doesn't always approve of his sons' actions, but he kinda' lets them do what they like, b/c he trusts them not to do anything illegal. Odin y u trust your childrEn just kidding. they are good kids. Except the one. but we don't talk about her. Heck, Loki Thor don't even know about her. so she's half frost-giant, b/c Odin's first wife was a frost giant, but then the frost giants got conquered by the Kallixians. Odin's first wife died and he fled back to Asgard, where he became king after his father's death at the age of 20. Odin didn't know that this child, Inger existed. Inger was raised by Kallixians, and ultimately decided to start trying to rise to power in the Kallixian ranks. Soon she got into Asgard (Asgardians are used to seeing Giants, Dwarves, Black People, White people, and Green People, and are really only on the look out for Kallixian soldiers. they're cinnamon rolls and welcome civilian refugees...what could go wrong? Inger infiltrated Asgard when she was grown up, and the perfect paradise so many different diverse people shattered. The only other place that could compare to Asgard was Olympus, another nearly pluralist society. Olympus was slightly less Pluralist than Asgard because of Zeus' corruption, which was repaired best he could be Poseidon. Loki had to flee his planet a refugee. Embra died. Thor was missing, presumed dead. Loki fled to Asgard where he abandoned his fun loving personality. Be became dark and edgy w/t survivors guilt. He felt so at fault at not being able to stop the death of so many of his people, he struggles to think that he's good at all. It's such a shame, he was so pure before. Anyhoo, he legitimately wants to help, even if his immense grief turned him into a depressed, prickly, extremely untrusting and at times not thinking clearly cactus. (Loki is 's I'm just giving ideas for the backstory and personality.) I drew a bit of Loki and Sigyn in an alternate universe where Asgard was safe forever, the Kallixians were defeated and Gethen replaced with Azileth as ruler and everybody was happy. The Asgardians are happy and like to have parties and dance on clouds and stuff. They have giants and dwarves and fairies and leprechauns and ship names...relationship names Some of their clothes look like they clash to human eyes b/c Asgardians can see colors we can't, like winop and lonipeg. :) The Asgardians love to carry parasails with ribbons. (guys and gals both do this. They just love their snazzy little quirky things. Loki started a lot of quirky fashion trends before the invasion, some of them just to make Embla smile.) The also love to dye their hair in strange ways, at least the boys. Dang guys I should've made his hair match Sigyn's coat oh my word- (also you can't see it but her coat has all these cool textures I did with a white gel pen..dsafads. Loki stopped dyeing it after the invasion. (I totally didn't make it anywhere near the wordcount in my story today haha totally spaced it drawing this pffffft)
