Press the flag for a special tune Thanks to Nintendo
Satoru Iwata was a legendary figure not only in Nintendo's history but for the history of gaming. Whenever I popped onto a new Nintendo Direct it was impossible to not smile at this man. The way he presented himself and the way people looked up to him is truly something to marvel at. He could've so easily been like other industry leaders and hide away with piles of money while other people did all the work. But Iwata didn't do that. He cared about the company and the products and the fans and everyone involved. He even took a pay cut to when the company was in a rough spot to ensure that Nintendo stayed afloat. Losing him was not only sad for me and Nintendo fans but for fans of video games and creativity as a whole. Now we only have his memory and legacy. And I'm sure if he was to see where the Nintendo Switch has brought the company he would be proud... and I am eternally grateful for him and his work. "On my card I am a corporate president, in my mind I am a game developer, but in my heart I am a gamer." - Satoru Iwata (1959 - 2015)
