" ☆ NAME: Anzu 'Neko' Tsukuda ☆ GENDER: Female, she/her pronouns ☆ SPECIES: Human (ears on her hat are fake) ☆ HEIGHT: 5'5"; 5'6" with boots ☆ SEXUALITY: Bisexual ☆ AGE: 18 years ☆ ROLE: Primary antagonist in "Scrap Metal Shells," a work-in-progress original story of mine. She's also the head of a Mech Dueler team known as the 'Nuigurumi' (ぬいぐるみ, Stuffed Animals in English). Mech duelers will be further explained in the backstory section. ☆ RELATIONSHIPS: Rivals with Juno Nakada (https://toyhou.se/7221043.juno-nakada). Dueler teammates with 'Inu' (who's probably also gonna be her boyfriend lol), 'Kuma,' 'Usagi,' and 'Kitsune,' who have yet to be designed. ☆ PERSONALITY: To put it simply, Anzu is strong, ruthless, and incredibly competitive... especially when in a duel. She's not afraid to pick a fight, because she knows she'll be the one to win it in the end. She's also a master with words, and can pick out just what to say in order to provoke someone. Anzu's quite expressive with her emotions; although she usually wears a scheming smirk, it's not uncommon for her facial expressions to change at the drop of a hat. Due to her being the head of an MD team, she also displays qualities that would make a good leader, and deeply cares for the other members of her team. Overall, the cat radiates an air of "I'm stronger than you, and I'm not afraid to prove it." ============= >> BACKSTORY << Anzu lives in futuristic Tokyo, Japan. . a land of neon lights, sci-fi technology, and cyberpunk aesthetics. As much as she loves the city as a whole, her primary focus is on something a bit different. Anzu's known as a 'mech dueler,' or 'MD'; a person who builds their own piloted robot out of scrap metal and spare parts, and uses it to battle other MDs. This can be done simply for fun, or in professional tournaments where money and fame stand as prizes. The sport began in late 2050, and has remained the number one sport in Japan as of 2070. Anzu first took interest in becoming an MD when she was around thirteen years old, thanks to her father. He was always a huge fan of the sport, and for Anzu's thirteenth birthday he took her to watch a professional dueler match. Since then, she was hooked. She rushed to start building her own mech, and aspired to join a professional dueler team by the time she turned sixteen (the legal age to become a professional dueler in Japan). Once the time finally came and she was old enough, Anzu had finished her mech, and rushed to prove herself in a one-on-one battle. During the battle, she quickly ripped her opponent's mech to shreds, piloting in a way that had never before been seen in the dueler field. Her skill quickly gained the attention of both professional and beginning duelers across Tokyo. After a short period of time, she assembled some of her closest friends and formed the Nuigurumi; an MD team that would soon become known as the most ruthlessly coordinated dueling team in all of Tokyo. The Nuigurumi quickly started their climb to the top of the Team Dueler charts, with Anzu approaching top of the solo chart. In her climb for number one, she decided to go against Juno Nakada... a rising solo dueler... in a 1v1 match. The two girls were a pretty even match for the fight's majority, but in the end, Juno came out on top. The battle didn't affect Anzu's standings all that much, but the loss of the fight did damage her ego. After that fight she became even more fixated upon dueling, and has been constantly training with her team for when she gets a rematch with Juno. >| Full character development and backstory details will take place within the plot of Scrap Metal Shells if i end up winning the character.
